2 days and 11 dollars later I’ve finally got some new film pictures to share. I’m still getting used to shooting with film and these are actually pictures I took quite a while ago in the winter months.

In other news: I started reading Harry Potter again today? Twas a spur of the moment decision and I doubt I’ll commit to reading all seven of them again but it sounded good at the time while waiting for the bf to finish showering. This whole “picking up a new book” thing happens a lot being that his bed is right next to a gigantic bookcase full of good reads. Hence me starting 7 books at one time and never finishing any of them.

Whoops.

I’ve got a MASSIVE amount of paper writing to bust out today. Gotta edit my 10 page rhetoric 20 rough draft into final perfection for monday  after which it’s on to my rhetoric 103 paper where i’m planning to compare  ROUSSEAU & MONTESQUIEU and bust out lots of big important sounding sentences in an attempt to sound like i care. WOOHOO CANT WAIT.

Sarcasm aside, here are some things I actually have to look forward to:

Commence countdown till the end of school: 18 DAYS

Commence countdown till 21st birthday (June 14th): 50 DAYS.

Summer is so so close, the sun is shining, and legality is just around the corner. Oh the glory! Can’t hardly wait.

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood. And I’m off to sit in the sun and read the latest editions of POP & Juxtapoz followed by a lil’ bit o’ The Journey East and perhaps a bit of guitar practice. Look at me, all productive and such. Not that I’m getting any ACTUAL work done on those two papers I have due next Mon/Tues but you know…..

I think I’ll take my camera with me as well! It’s been a while since I’ve shot film. Pictures later!

EEEE! The time has come for me to make up my FINAL schedule for my LAST semester at Cal. (Cue jumps for joy)!!!!!! And if all goes according to plan (which it will gosh darnit) this is what my final schedule will be looking like…

In other news: The quest to land an internship of some kind is on. So far I’m applying mainly for blogging jobs being that I truly do enjoy sharing nifty things I find/my thoughts/opinions with all of you (whoever you may be) via the interwebs.

And I’m keeping to my goal of creating two complete looks/making them this summer! I’ve started sketching out some possible ideas and while they might be a bit above my skill level (I barely know how to use a sewing machine) I’ve at least got the ball rolling.

Now the question is, to share my sketches with you or not? That is the question.

So, it’s that time of year where the amount of papers I have to write outweigh the amount of hours in a day and I end up spending all my time in bed surrounded by scattered papers, books and empty boxes of oreos. This post is actually a mode of procrastination but SHH don’t tell. I’m finding that I’ve been really into the “retro” as of late, especially the 50’s and 60’s. Here are just some of the inspirations I’ve come across the past few days.

OH YEAH! I made myself a goal yesterday. This summer I am going to design AND make 2 complete outfits from scratch. I have been putting off this whole “lets make clothes” thing for way too long and have a mind busting full of ideas. It’s just the DO-ing part that I’m usually pretty good at avoiding. So I expect you all to hold me to that. Got it? Good.

Today I finally seem to be getting my feet back under myself after the craziness that has been the past week. I’m hoping this will be a week I look back on in the future and laugh a little bit to myself.

In order to “celebrate” my feeling semi-better, mom and I took to the outlets for a little bit of shopping. My favorite finds of the day (along with some other excellent sales items) were these Banana Republic platform sandals paired with American Apparel socks!

Ever since watching the first two seasons of Skins I’ve been dying to make the sandal/sock pairing an addition to my wardrobe and alas! The time has come 🙂 Things are looking up for spring!
